You read it right, we now have weekly vaccination clinics running every Monday with Vanessa, our vaccination vet! Vaccinations are available for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies, and rabbits too!

TROUBLE GETTING APPOINTMENTS AT YOUR REGULAR VET?
As a family with more than our fair share of animals, Bill and I understand the intense strain that vets are under these days. Pet ownership has increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic: in March 2021 the Pet Food Manufacturers Association (PFMA) released figures suggesting an additional 3.2 million households became pet owners in the previous 12 months, without the equivalent increase in veterinary provision. And we’ve certainly added to our furry family in the last couple of years.
We’ve heard stories from our A-Z clients too. The inability to make routine vet appointments, having to start over with vaccinations and endless waiting in vet car parks to get seen is causing huge frustration not to mention the additional cost involved.
WE LISTENED!
So we got to thinking: how difficult would it be to introduce a vaccination clinic at our grooming salon to relieve the pressure on local veterinary practices and provide an extra service for our loyal clients?
After jumping through a few hoops, we did it! We have teamed up with Vanessa Martin MRCVS who is excited to join the A-Z team!
TAKING YOUR PET TO EUROPE
A-Z Animal Care is able to offer Animal Health Certificates. This is the documentation that is required to take your Dog or Cat to Europe.
The rules and guidance around this documentation is very strict and there is a strict process that we need to follow along with timings.
At this time we are only issuing documentation for travel to Europe where your point of entry is France. If you are planning to take your pet to Europe via France then please get in touch so we can guide you through the process.

VACCINATION CLINIC MONDAYS
We are very excited about our new Monday clinics, which include:
- New vaccination courses and regular boosters
- Microchipping of puppies, kittens and new additions
- Regular wormers and flea treatment
- Exclusive arrangements for breeders for a one-stop-shop with your latest litter
Mondays at A-Z will be exclusively for vet appointments to allow dedicated time with Vanessa to discuss your pets health and vaccination needs.
OUT OF HOURS SERVICE
If your pet has an adverse reaction to their vaccination during our normal opening hours, please call the us and we will advise you what to do next. If your pet has an adverse reaction to their vaccine after 7pm, please contact our partners Vets Now on 01233 879913.
Vets Now has been providing dedicated out-of-hours emergency pet care across the UK for more than 15 years, and now responds to almost half-a-million pet emergencies every year. We believe our partnership offers you and your pet the very best level of care, day and night.
We would remind you that Vets Now is a pet emergency service. Vets Now is the pet equivalent of an accident and emergency service, dedicated to providing pets with access to a vet out of hours. It’s all they do.
Based at Cinque Ports Vets, Kingsnorth, their vets and vet nurses are specially trained to deal with pet emergencies. Because they don’t work during the day, they’ll be up and ready to see your pet at the time you need them.
At A-Z Animal Care we know your pets are part of your family and our priority is, and always will be, to ensure they have access to the very best care, no matter what the time of day or night. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Vets Now.
Don’t forget, their team don’t work during the day, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing them at night. So, if you’re worried about your pet don’t hesitate to give them a call, and they’ll advise what you should do next.”
