HORSES
We don’t groom horses (yet!) but we are fully licenced to stock a variety of horse worming products, and our prices are competitive and offer the same degree of protection as from your local vet . Horses, ponies, foals and donkeys need regular worming to kill and remove many types of worms and parasites including roundworms, tapeworms and bots that they are naturally exposed to.
You can check out our entry at the Veterinary Medical Directorate here and Emma Betts is our approved SQP at the centre.
If you are not sure what wormer to choose or whether you can worm your horse at all, please get in touch. We have a lot of information to help you in your decision.

MICROCHIPPING
Why microchip?
- It is a safe, permanent and quick solution to ensuring the greatest security for your pet, should they go missing. A microchip is also a requirement if you wish to take your pet out of the country.
- We offer Petlog microchipping at our centre. Petlog maintains a database of all chipped animals and vets and animal wardens scan all strays and found animals for a microchip as a matter of course.
QUICK AND CHEAP
We charge just £22.50 to microchip your pet, which is a considerable saving in comparison with most vets. Chipping your pet and completing the necessary paperwork takes less than 10 minutes of your time and as long as you keep the database current with changes of contact numbers or home address you will always have the security that comes with a microchip for your pet.FLEASCREEN COMBO
It is important to keep your cat or dog up to date with flea and worming treatments and we stock FleaScreen Combo spot-on treatments at our centre.- Available for small, medium or large cats and dogs
- Kills all fleas on treated animals
- Prevents any flea eggs from hatching for 8 weeks following treatment
- Kills ticks on treated animals for up to 4 weeks
- Treats infestations of biting lice
Domestic pets require regular deworming every three months and their eggs are also carried by fleas so if your pet gets fleas and ingests a flea whilst grooming it is possible that they will become infected with worms too. Worms can also pass to humans so it is important to treat your pet regularly to prevent this.
If you find yourself having to tackle a flea infestation you are in good company. A recent survey suggests that 1 in 10 dogs and 1 in 5 cats at any time have fleas! Give us a call if you need any advice on tackling a flea infestation as our experienced staff have a trick or two to dealing with these problems. To prevent reinfection don’t forget to treat pet bedding, carpets and even your car with a general flea killer as eggs can lay dormant in cracks and dust.
