DOG TEETH CLEANING

WHY BRUSH DOG’S TEETH?

Dogs benefit greatly from clean teeth. Dental disease is linked to systemic conditions including heart and kidney disease and also causes pain, drooling and bad breath. By brushing your dog’s teeth regularly bacteria levels in the mouth are kept low and your dog stays happy, healthy and smelling fresh.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

However, brushing your dog’s teeth can be a tricky task, which is why you may be used to getting your dog’s teeth cleaned at your local vet under sedation. However, at A-Z we use a different method altogether which is so gentle there is no need for expensive sedation. The number of sessions required varies depending on the animal but some only require a single session to get those teeth sparkling.

EMMI-PET

At A-Z we use Emmi-Pet, an ultrasound system which cleans with 96 million micro-oscillations per minute and no harsh mechanical brushing. This gentle cleaning action breaks down bacteria, tartar and plaque which removes the basis for dental disease, and promotes healthy circulation in the mouth. Emmi-pet has been approved for veterinary use so you can rest assured that the procedure is perfectly safe for your dog.
