Cat Grooming

Cats          Price Guide inc. VAT
Cat Groom Cat Grooming at A-Z Animal Care Price range for a Full Groom for a long haired cat is £32.50-£37.50 with an
Average Price £35 including VAT
Factors that will determine the actual price include:
>Time interval between grooms
>How much brushing / grooming you do yourself between grooms
>Differing coat types and amount of deadcoat
>Behaviour: some cats can be groomed by just one groomer but many   require two to get the job done.
Matt removal

Dematting, where clipping is required, is charged in addition to the Grooming price above. It is quite a delicate operation involving two or possibly three groomers and is charged at £50 / hour. Small areas can be removed from as little as £5-£10.

For more widespread and severe matting the cost will be higher. As a guide, the total cost, including the groom portion, is unlikely to exceed £75 and most come out at around £50-£60. Unlike vets we do not sedate or anaesthetise cats so time taken will depend, to a degree, on the cat's cooperation and behaviour.

Once we have met your cat we can assess the degree of matting and its behaviour. We will then be able to give a more accurate estimate and a maximum figure so there will be no unexpected shocks.

If you decide to get the job done at your vet, do check charges first. Some of our customers have previously been charged in the region of £250 and one or two in excess of £300.

Cat Bath
Cat bathing at A-Z Animal Care

£22.50 for a cat bath including VAT

As for dematting, cat bathing is often a two-groomer job and can take a lot longer that bathing a similar sized dog. The bathing price is in addition to grooming charges. A cat will need to be groomed and dematted before a bath.
