About 40% of the customers who come to us for the first time do so as a direct result of your kind recommendation. Many thanks for that. It is much appreciated.

As a way of rewarding future recommendations we have now introduced a combined Appointment / Referral card. This not only gives the new customer a 25% introductory discount on their first visit but also gives you a 25% discount on your next visit as a thank you for making the introduction.

It’s very simple to do and we’ll be giving out the cards on every visit. Introduce four people and your next groom is free!

Just pick up an Appointment / Referral card at reception (no strings, you don't even need to make an appointment!)

Anyone got a pen?!

This is Benji, one of our regular customers, a Bichon Frise from Ashford who got into a bit of mischief recently, finding a blue bingo pen, taking the cap off and then rolling on it!

No harm done though. He came in for an emergency bath and, bingo, it all came out allwrite (sorry!).

Can you recommend any Good Kennels & Catteries??

We’re frequently asked if we can recommend good kennels and catteries in the area but are reluctant to do so in case it all goes wrong!

We have however now started a "Kennels & Catteries Testimonials book" where you can leave comments for others customers to read. It’s kept at reception. Please join in and add your recommendations - or warnings!

Or you can email us with any Kennel / Cattery feedback and we'll put it in the book

If we get enough we will create a page on the website, perhaps with links to the ones with the most recommendations.

Feedback cards thanks

Many thanks to all of you who have taken the trouble to return our “How did we do?” feedback cards and the many nice things you have said. We’ve published your comments on the website, (Go to Testimonials) but anonymously as we haven’t sought your permission to do so. The originals, however, are available to see at the shop We’ll continue to give a card out with your bill after every visit, as a way of continuing to monitor the quality of what we do and keep us on our toes!

Bye bye Grace

Grace, one of our leading groomers, who has been with us for over three years has moved on to pastures new and, sadly had her last day with us on 10th of April. She's will be missed by customers and staff alike but has promised to keep in touch. We wish her all the very best for the future.

Thomas at 9 months

Had lots of requests while Emma's been away for a picture of Thomas, the "new" baby - now 9 months old!

Emma's back at the shop now, currently doing Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Saturday.

Ever since we started A-Z Animal Care in 2004 it was always our intention to expand what we do and diversify into other “animal care” related areas, hence “A-Z” of animal care, to leave all doors open.

If perhaps you like the look of what we do, and the way we do it, and feel you could bring something to the business, in a big or small way (as a business venture, not employment) then we’d be interested to talk to you. A recession is possibly the ideal time.

Good to see you at Crufts

Many thanks to all of you who came to say Hello on our stand at Crufts. We were there for the four days and, in addition to the many new people we met, it was really good to see so many of our existing customers who had made the trek up from Kent for the day. The show was bigger than ever with over 150,000 people attending and over 20,000 dogs competing. It was hard work but well worth the effort. Sadly we won't be there this year - too busy!!
